🌿 From the Drawing Board to the Dig: Progress on Our Latest Design Project🌿 There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing a 3D rendered design start to take shape in the real world. We are currently on-site with @thesecretgardensuffolk, who are doing a fabulous job completing the hard landscaping for our latest project. The “before” shots (swipe to see the progress!) show just how much work goes into the groundwork before we can even think about the plants. We’ve opted for rustic brickwork on the raised beds and that central circular patio to ensure the garden feels like it has always belonged to the house. • Hard Landscaping: Expertly handled by @thesecretgardensuffolk—the brickwork is looking spot on. • The Finish: We’ll be heading back in June to get the plants in the ground and bring the soft textures to life. It’s a privilege to see the vision we created for our clients being built with such care. It is always a treat to see a project find its feet. We planted these sweeping driveway borders back in March, and they are settling in beautifully. 🌿 The structure of the trees provides the frame, now complemented by the softer textures of Seslaria autumnalis, Arenaria and Salvia. We’ve stuck to a calm palette of greens and whites for now, though the red roses are just about to provide a lovely burst of colour. Good preparation is everything, so we used a generous amount of soil improver and mulch from @field_compost to give the @plants.greatbardfield plants the best possible start. A little weekend border redesign… 🌿 Here’s what happens when the husband goes away for the weekend… 👀 A new border appears. No garden centre run needed — just plants lifted from elsewhere in the garden, a few self-seeded perennials, and some generous grasses from Vikki’s garden. Loved creating this simply by reshuffling what was already here. Before → during → after.
